As a leader in the conservation of desert antelopes, we are pleased and proud to offer you a close-up look at Arabia’s surprisingly rich diversity of wildlife at our Arabian Mixed Exhibit.
Watch enthralled as Arabian oryxes and Sand gazelles roam free, in a totally authentic natural habitat that includes sand dunes and shaded waterholes.
While you watch, you might like to bear in mind that the oryxes were actually bred here. And without the oryx conservation programme that was founded 40 years ago by the late Sheikh Zayed, the species could easily be extinct by now. Thankfully, our efforts have paid off and we have been able to reintroduce many of them into the wild in several parts of the region.
