The Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre will be a tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed, founding father of the UAE, whose far sighted vision engendered a profound national respect for the country's unique natural heritage.
This iconic new venue, itself a brilliant showcase of the amazing energy savings that sustainable architecture can bring, will graphically recount Sheikh Zayed's life and reveal his love of nature. It will encourage and help guests to explore the natural world of the UAE and gain a sense of the fascinating relationship that has always existed between the desert dweller and his habitat.
As well as celebrating the past, the centre will also look to the future with fascinating, interactive exhibits that will enable residents and guests to chart their own sustainable futures.
