One of the main objectives of the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort is to grow the next generation of Emirati conservationists – the people who will nurture and advance the late Sheikh Zayed’s environmental passion.
We have a golden opportunity to deliver a fully integrated programme for environmental education, as the development is a unique combination of zoo, botanic garden and museum. By working with these resources, we can create truly innovative activities, projects and authentic experiences that include school visits with wildlife encounters, tree planting and crafts, summer and winter educational camps, story-telling and crafts events. The intention is to promote science literacy, civic engagement, creative expression and lifelong learning among students and, by extension, their families and their community.
Working with schools and communities in Al Ain and throughout the UAE, our Education Programme has been designed to introduce students to the beauty and value of the desert world and preparing them for a world where each and every one of them will think and act as real, responsible guardians of the environment.
