We run captive breeding programmes for some of the world's most endangered species. Some like the Scimitar-horned oryx are extinct in the wild.
We are working with our partner, the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, to reintroduce Arabian oryx born at the zoo to the wild.
We work with international agencies such as the Species Survival Commission and the Sahara Conservation Fund to develop new tools and strategies for saving endangered species.
We undertake research on the endangered species conservation with our partners at San Diego Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo and Edinburgh Zoo.
We work to save endangered species in the wild, and support the work of the Northern Rangelands Trust in Kenya in conserving wild lands for elephant, lion and the hirola, the world's most endangered antelope. |
